Live Great Expectations with the American Dating Dream
Sometimes I don’t like to admit it, because I didn’t always have Great Expectations for my dating life. Get this, yesterday I broke my resolution and smoked two packs of cigarettes. As a coping mechanism of datelessness, no less. That actually happened. Am I crazy? Actually, that’s when I first looked into dating again in Denver or Dallas.
Nothing that can’t be fixed. I’ll meet new singles with professionally hosted Denver singles events. And it never sounded better. Loneliness bites, heres why. When I was a little tipsy at my boy’s t-ball game in Dallas last night, great aunt Judy wouldn’t get off my back about if I have settled down with my one and only. I don’t know why they even care. Anyway, I looked up at them and yelled, “what’s your deal, yo?”
No surprise that “The Twerp” (my nephew, age 9) chimed in on the topic of marriage. I leveled to all of them: “I’ll be fine, I’ll never find a gorgeous single woman hanging out with you.”
You know what? They smiled politely. Perturbed, I called Dave so I could clear my head. That didn’t help! I can’t imagine what I was thinking there. Nina, who recently moved to Italy recommended that I mingle at singles events by Great Expectations. I said, “That’s what I was going to do.” See, everything always works out. I especially enjoy Great Expectations Denver.
Early on, matchmaking was a novel thing because I’m a traditionalist of sorts. I showed up already a little anxious, that I spilled a glass of wine on my blazer. This slight disaster didn’t put an end to the evening. The evening was bursting with excitement. The one cool thing that really struck me were the honest, desirable singles.
It wasn’t long before I was regularly mingling at these splendid Great Expectations Dallas singles parties, I got in touch with a handful of marvelous guys and gals who I could tell feel as excited as I am when it comes to dating. Can’t imagine why I used to let my family get me down about me not dating. Amazingly enough, doing things in Dallas with Great Expectations is enjoyable and just what I’ve been looking for.
