Poker Tilt Control

The poker cards are flipped, and you watch the pot being raked to your opponent. You feel a rush of heat over your entire body. Both your hands ball into fists as you shout in anger at the bad fortune bestowed upon you by the poker gods.

At this moment, you have a choice between two diverging paths – the path toward recovery or the path to bust – and only you can decide where you want to go. By sitting out, taking a break and collecting yourself, you can get your head in a place where you can play good poker and recover your losses. Give yourself a pep talk, have a snack, or take a few minutes, or if need be, a few hours to do something you enjoy that will bring your spirits back to baseline.

By doing this, you relieve yourself of the immediate stresses associated with losing – a regular part of poker that you must learn to manage if you intend to be a successful player.

I really wish he would write the full 200 words, because it is getting fricking annoying having to go into the software and write 40 to 50 more words per article because he can;t listen to directions!
